Giordano Wants Pay For Unused Sick, Vacation Days
WATERBURY, Conn. -- Waterbury officials said former Mayor Philip Giordano, a prison inmate, isn't entitled to thousands of dollars for unused vacation or sick time.
Giordano, who's serving 37 years on federal child sex charges, claims he's owed tens of thousands of dollars for the vacation and sick days he never took before his arrest.
Sheila O'Malley, Mayor Michael Jarjura's chief of staff, said under the charter they're not obligated to give him sick time and won't even entertain his request.............
