do NOT 'cook' chestnuts in a microwave
NO i didn't attempt it. i bought some chestnuts for my pops the other day and left them. he's always scored the X in them and roasted them IN THE OVEN
today when i stopped at his house i could SMELL the burnt OUTSIDE. dang
