(every year a very dear (ex) friend and i used to take our winter pilgrimage to mystic. not the seaport but old mystic. i loved the shops. my favorite was called the emporium. it was an old house just FULL of wonderful stuff. i'd stock up on my mick rock christmas cards (everyone just couldn't wait to get their card from me). but those days are past i'm sorry to say. i don't even know if the emporium is still around. i sure hope it is. i LOVED the men running it. they were a BLAST)
