just a note, it's been anywhere from the 90s to 102 degrees out this week. WHO THE EFF WANTS TO SIT OUTSIDE IN THIS HUMID MISERABLE WEATHER? why the see and be seen peeps who come to the center in DROVES (in their designer SUVs, in their designer clothes with their designer dogs and/or designer kids).
and by the way, all i'm going to say is YEARS ago i went to the elbow room (not MY choice. it was a friend's birthday). it was about 3 or 4 pm. not too busy. i was treated rudely (VERY). i canceled my food order, ordered a drink. quickly drank it down. wished my friend a happy birthday AND FLED THE SCENE NEVER TO RETURN. nor will i EVER return. i'm just sayin........
West Hartford Starts To Enforce Curfew On Outdoor Dining
WEST HARTFORD — —
With its "under-the-stars" roof garden and the tables along its Farmington Avenue sidewalk, The Elbow Room is a perennial winner of "Best Outdoor Dining" awards from state and regional magazines. Plaques announcing these reader awards line the entranceway for customers to see. Across the street, Grant's has a 40-seat sidewalk dining area, an alluring spot for late-night diners. It's used from early April through October and even later when possible. So the notice mailed to numerous downtown restaurants last month by West Hartford police was eye-opening. It was a reminder that the town has a 10 p.m. curfew on outdoor dining and that it should be followed...............
