The SPCA of Connecticut is hoping people don't forget about the animals affected by the devastating tornadoes in the south.
An SPCA worker was in Alabama for a routine animal rescue when she realized hundreds of amimals are in danger of being euthanized or dying in the streets.
"We had no idea!" said Susan Fernandez. "We were lucky to get these 40 puppies out alive."............

You can send a donation marked "Saving Tornado Dogs" to the SPCA of Connecticut, 359 Spring Hill Road, Monroe, CT 06468, or donate online .
The animals will be available for adoptions once they have been examined and have been given a clean bill of health. You can view a slideshow of the dogs and tornado damage here.......................

the ct spca has a GREAT slide show of the hounds!
