Love your pictures, Rose. I live near an eagle observation point and we have many great birds, they nest, etc.

thanks lily! this hawk was flirting with me. he kept flying over my head and landing close to me. i wanted to get an inflight shot but just couldn't manage it

there is an eagle observation spot in connecticut somewhere by the river by the coast i believe. i've not been yet. i've not seen an eagle in the wild. i look forward to it though

(oh we have parrots in connecticut too. i've not seen them but i plan on making a trip to do that too)

Oh they are amazing! I am a nerdy bird watcher, I love crows the most though because they visit me and scream at me and I feed them. I blogged once about the crow that looked in the window at me! MY daughter thinks it is spiritually connected to her. She is starting to read a lot about earth elements, and other things that are kind of new to me.

hello neighbor...got to tell you...beautiful photo's...

...not long ago...3 or 4 weeks past...i spotted 3 eagles feeding on a deer carcass on the lake where i live near...it was far enough out in the ice so that the eagles didn't worry about man...they were beautiful to behold...and it comfirms how nature does not waste anything...

...thanks again for your visit and kind comments...

...your friend bill

lily, if your daughter is old enough ask her to read up on the morrighan (or morrigan). a celtic goddess who took the shap of a crow/raven. she was the goddess of war too so that is why i mention your daughter's age.
there are a couple of rough tales mixed in there

bill, i LOVE your blog. i love your words AND your graphics
